Life Member 316 James (Jim) Parsons

We are so sorry to report that JCSE Veterans Association Life member #316 Jim Parsons passed away at age 75 on November 3, 2020 in Tampa Florida after a courageous battle with Cancer. Jim retired from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant and was assigned to JCSE’s Tac Radio Maintenance Section from 1978 – 1981. He was a Master Parachutist and spent many years on USAF Combat Control Teams (CCT) before coming to the JCSE where he remained on jump status and maintained the radio equipment for our Quick Reaction Element and Airborne Jump Teams. Jim was very well liked and was one of the more “colorful” members of the JCSE. Always quick on the draw with a joke or bits of information that made you laugh as well as think. Jim was a frequent face at our recent Monthly Breakfast Gatherings and the mood always shifted up a notch when he entered the room. RIP Jim, you are gone but will not be forgotten.
